Adriatic and Aegean Sea Islands 5: From Messalonghi to Heraklion
A couple of moments after departure from the private airfield of Messalonghi you will be soaring over the Bay of Corinth and admire the almost 3 km long bridge which spans across the bay since 2004. In the course of the south-eastward flight you will be able to admire in detail the Corinth Canal and several islands located in the Gulf of Athens which belong to the group of Argo-Saronic islands.
You will also overfly the island of Kythira which somewhat surprisingly belongs to the Ionian Islands archipelago. It only takes about half an hour flight from Kythira to the western tip of the mountainous island of Crete, the largest of Greek islands. In the end the video will show you a VFR landing at the commercial airport of Heraklion.
You can also admire an aerial view of the famous beach Navagio with its shipwreck. Today´s video will simply show you the beauty of most of the Ionian islands.
