Entry: | Since 2023, Croatia is a part of the Schengen area and therefore it is possible to fly to any of its airports from any Schengen airport without passport or customs control. The entry of aircraft below 5700 kg which meet the minimum avionics requirement and are in pocession of the required documentantnion (see VFR Manual on www.crocontrol.hr , section Aeronautical Information Management/VFR manual) does not require any other authorization. However, such a flight must not be performed for financial gain. |
FPL: | Other than international flights, flights carried out within controlled airspace and defined VFR corridors, VFR flight plan is not obligatory. In reality, however, a FPL is often requested by the ATC controllers and the Croatian VFR manul strongly recommends to submit a FPL before any VFR flight. VFR FPL should be submitted at least 60 minutes before the flight concerned. |
Microlights: | Croatia does not require any permission for entry of foreign-registered microlights. |
