Entry: | Great Britain is not part of the Schengen area. Therefore, any flight from/to another country must arrive/leave for/from an international airport and clear customs/immigration controls. In case you wish to land at a domestic airport, you have to inform the customs/immigration services 24/48 hours in advance. Please check the procedures for your specific airport. See also the GAR form in the “Other links” section below. |
FPL: | An FPL is compulsory for any flight which is partly or entirely carried out in a controlled airspace and for international flights (i.e. also for flights to the Republic of Ireland). An FPL must be filed at least 60 minutes prior to the flight. |
