If you wish to fly to Grenoble, you have a choice of airports. You can pick either air transport airport Isére (LFLS) or a club airfield Le Versoud (LFLG). LFLG is a small and pleasant airfield serving the local community of GA pilots. It offers everything you need – asphalt runway 04/22, fuel, toilets, refreshments, internet. If you are arriving from the side of the Alps you may have to make one or two threesixty turns before joining the circuit in order to bleed your height. This is because the mountains are very high and steep so you might not have enough time to descend in a direct flight on arrival.

LFLG airfield has an excellent information service and is friendly to visiting pilots. The landing fees are moderate. Le Versoud is a very good choice if you wish to discover the beauty of the Alps or fly to the Italian Aosta, Swiss Geneva or just fly around Mont Blanc. You can also reach easily the altiports of Alp d´Huez, Courchevel or Meribel from here.
