Stornoway Airport (EGPO) - take off

Stornoway is the main settlement of the Outer Hebrides. The town and airport are located on the island Lewis and Harris. The airport mainly serves air transport and mail aircraft. Stornoway is about 150 km to the North from Barra airport which uses part of the beach as its main runway.

Stornoway airport is welcoming also to small VFR aircraft – Avgas is available, there is enough capacity for parking and landing fees are reasonable. If you are lucky with the weather, then flying over Outer Hebrides and the other islands off the western coast of Scotland is indeed breath-taking.
